American Muslim Voice condemns
the murder of British hostage in Iraq

Oct. 8, 2004 - The American Muslim  Voice today strongly condemned the brutal murder of British hostage Kenneth Bigley in Iraq and called for release of all hostages in Iraq.

Mr. Kenneth Bigley, 62,  was kidnapped in Baghdad last month.

In a statement, Samina Faheem Sundas, AMV’s Executive Director said:

“We strongly condemn this brutal act and repeat our call for the immediate release of all hostages currently held in Iraq, irrespective of their nationality or faith.
“We also denounce those who are betraying our faith with their twisted views because such acts of cruelty are simply barbaric by nature and have no justification whatsoever in our religion. No injustice done to Muslims can ever justify the massacre of innocent people, and no act of terror will ever serve the cause of Islam.

“The American Muslim Voice offers most sincere condolences to the Bigley family.”
