AMV says NO to recall election and NO to Proposition 54

The American Muslim Voice says no to the October 7, elections for recall of Governor Davis and no to Proposition 54.

The AMV Executive Director, Ms. Samina Faheem, said:

“The AMV believes that the recall election is waste of resources and a new governor will not be able to bring out the state from the current economic crisis.

“The AMV says no to the proposition 54 because it says we are color blind society. It is likely to allow for “racism without a paper trail.”

“The AMV will honor the wishes of the community and support any decision taken by the American Muslim Political Coordination Committee (AMPCC) related to the gubernatorial candidate,” she said.

American Muslim Voice is a civil rights organization working with other communities and civil rights organizations and peace groups to protect and preserve civil liberties for ALL.
