Dr. Michael Parenti will speak
 at the AMV Eid dinner
 on Nov. 19 in Woodland, CA

Dr. Michael Parenti, an internationally known author and lecturer, will be the key note speaker at the AMV Eid dinner in Woodland, CA on November 19, 2005.

Dr. Parenti will be speaking on “Terrorism and the U.S. Empire.” (See other engagements of Dr. Parenti at: http://www.michaelparenti.org/events.html)

Dr. Parenti is the author of 17 books, including Democracy for the Few, 7th edition, 2001, To Kill a Nation, 2001, Blackshirts and Reds, 1997, and Against Empire, 1995. His most recent book, The Assassination of Julius Caesar: a People's History of Ancient Rome, 2003, was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in October of 2003.

The AMV President, Khalid Saeed said that the  dinner is purely a social event to enjoy a meal with friends. “We have invited people from different cultural and religious backgrounds to grace this event as we are trying to create a culture of peace, acceptance, mutual respect and harmony for a better tomorrow.”
