AMV Executive Director will address the annual community Thanksgiving service
PAMA (Palo Alto Ministerial Association) is holding its annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, November 22 at 7:30 at Kol Emeth, Palo Alto, CA.
This year their focus is "Gratitude for the Blessings of Service". They have invited interfaith community leaders to speak about their service. These individuals are working locally and globally. They have asked AMV Executive Director Ms. Samina Sundas to bridge the two and to speak about local (gatherings at her home to increase awareness of our humanity) and global (South Asia earthquake relief) service.
They take an offering at this service and it is distributed to a local charity and non-local charity. In September they had decided to support their sister city of Kenner LA as their non-local charity. But the world has changed since September and they have decided to support the earthquake relief efforts in South Asia.
AMV President Mr. Khalid addressed the Thanksgiving service on Sunday November 20th in Woodland, CA.
