FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                              June 22, 2004

AMV condemns the execution of South Korean in Iraq

June 22, 2004 - The American Muslim Voice strongly condemns the barbaric execution of Kim Sun-Il, a South Korean, by militants in Iraq.

The AMV Executive Director, Samina F. Sundas, said that the AMV believes that the use of violence to achieve political objectives is unacceptable and a complete violation of the principles of Islam. We reiterate that such barbaric acts do not serve the cause of Islam or Muslims.

We offer deepest heartfelt condolences to the family of Kim Sun-Il. May God grant his family the courage to bear the loss of their loved one. END

American Muslim Voice is a civil rights organization building alliances and real partnership with like minded groups to protect and preserve civil liberties and constitutional rights for ALL. Our goal is to bridge the gap between all communities.
