AMV & AI USA to hold
Ambassadors of the World: The Annual Youth Conference
on September 17, 2005

American Muslim Voice and Amnesty International USA will hold “Ambassadors of the World: The Annual Youth Conference” on Sept. 17, 2005 from 10:30 am to 2:00 Pm  at the Chandni Restaurant in Newark, CA.

See Flyer of The Annual Youth Conference

Purpose:

The conference is aimed at creating a culture of peace, acceptance, mutual respect and harmony for a better tomorrow  through various activities.

Our world is becoming so interconnected it has become vital for anyone in today’s society, especially our youth, to have basic knowledge of varying faiths and cultures.

The Annual Youth Conference will focus on increasing knowledge of the great cultural diversity we share and to form lifelong relations between all Americans. This will have an impact on the future of our country and the rest of the world.

The first step to influencing global matters starts with learning and appreciating people and events in our own backyard.

The conference, that will include group discussions, presentations, speakers and workshops, will be a good opportunity for our youth to meet, plan and design their  own year long program. On 17Th Sept they will also learn about,

1: The similarities and differences between different religions. (in the end all religions preach the same things)

2: How to be accepting, sensitive and respectful towards other cultures and religions.

3:To engage in hands on cultural activities and explore various cultural predispositions/tendencies/etiquette

4:To inform youth of cultural and religious outlets in their own communities and to encourage similar program in their own home towns.

5: Most importantly, through personal contact, knowledge and this opportunity they will be able to learn, appreciate and form lifelong friendships with each other.

We believes that our children are our future and the leaders of tomorrow and will greatly benefit by bridging the gap between all communities. “Keeping this in mind we are holding this one day annual conference that will be an ongoing program through out the school year ,” said Samina Faheem Sundas, AMV Executive Director.

To ensure the quality and the success of this program we are encouraging all who are concerned about the future of our next generation to join hands with us in this partnership.
